Mark Morris, 56, of King of Prussia, responded to the agent on social media after he posted "Bored... Entertain me," on Nov. 11 at 9:37 a.m., Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Conshohocken Borough Police Chief George Metz said.
The conversation included talking about meeting in person and the sex acts that he wanted to perform on her, authorities said.
The back-and-forth text conversation continued throughout the day until Morris broke it off, saying he was tired and hungry and “Let’s do it another day," the DA and chief said.
At 7:44 a.m. the next day, Morris sent a message to the account -- which he thought was being run by a 13-year-old girl -- saying:
“Sorry about yesterday. Maybe today we could meet?”
A meet time later that day was arranged at an area hotel. Detectives arrested Morris as he pulled up to the meeting location, authorities said.
Morris was charged with first-degree felony Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Attempted IDSI (less than 16 years old), Attempted Sexual Assault, Attempted Aggravated Sexual Assault, Attempted Corruption of Minors, Criminal Use of a Communications Facility and related charges.
He was arraigned on Nov. 12, before Magisterial District Judge Suzan Leonard, who set bail at $25,000 cash, with additional conditions being no unsupervised contact with minors and no use of social media accounts.
Morris posted bail and was released. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for 12:15 p.m., Nov. 24, 2021 before Magisterial District Judge Deborah A. Lukens.
The case will be prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Caroline Goldstein of the Family Protection Unit.
